Your A/C system will give you some telltale signs there is an issue when things begin to go south. Pay attention to the way things sound and the temperature of the air, and look for these specifics.
Your A/C system needs service if:
- The air temperature won’t get cold
- There are strange sounds under the hood when you turn the A/C system on
- The air won’t blow at all when you turn the fans on
- There are strange smells and or debris coming from the A/C vents
What else can I do to keep my vehicle cool in summer?
There are some great ways to keep your vehicle cool in summer, and some of them aren’t very expensive at all! Here are a couple of suggestions!

- Consider lightly tinting your windows (within legal limits)
- Purchase some “Automotive Window Sunshades or Window Visors”
- Buy seat covers for vehicles with Vinyl, Leather, and faux leather interiors
